December 2024 Product Release Notes

This month’s release includes the new full-page view of the Patient Profile. The full-page Patient Profile acts as an easy-to-use dashboard, specific to that patient, where you can communicate, access all relevant information, and complete tasks for the patient.

Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll see.

Patient Information

  • Get an overview of your patient’s demographic and billing information including date of birth, role (responsible party), phone numbers, emails, recall date (if it exists), CareCredit Pre-Approval (if the patient is pre-approved), outstanding balance, and more.  
  • Insurance Verification customers will also be able to run real-time insurance eligibility from the patient’s profile.

Patient Inbox

  • It’s located on the right side of the full page and will remain there even if you navigate to other sub-pages within the patient profile, allowing for ease of communication while working in the patient’s profile.
  • View and filter text conversations, inbound/outbound call history, and automated communications that the patient received from the practice.  
  • Call and/or text patients.

Visits

  • Get a snapshot of any upcoming and historical visits for the patient.
  • Expand the view to get more details about each visit, including the date of the scheduled visit, date of the last visit, procedure code(s), provider name, status (confirmed/unconfirmed), and insurance status.

Forms

  • See a list of forms that you’ve sent the patient and the completion status.
  • Send, fill, add, or remove patient forms.

Communication Preferences

  • This section allows you to manage the patient’s communication preferences and contains 5 sections based on the following communication types: general, email, text, direct mail, and phone where you can customize the types of communications patients will receive.
  • The general section has settings for family messaging, preferred language, appointment reminders like save the date, first and second reminder, and same-day reminder.
  • The email section has settings for essential communications like appointment reminders, post-op instructions, recalls, and patient reactivation. It also contains marketing and promotional emails like treatment plan follow up, birthday and holiday greetings, reviews and surveys, and expiring insurance reminders.  
  • The text section has settings for essential communications like appointment reminders, recalls, and patient reactivation. It also contains marketing and promotional emails like treatment plan follow up, newsletters, and reviews and surveys
  • The direct mail section has settings for essential communications like appointment reminders, recalls, and patient reactivation. It also includes marketing and promotional emails like treatment plan follow up, newsletters, birthday and holiday greetings, and expiring insurance reminders.  
  • The phone section has settings for appointment reminders which is an automated voice call.  

Treatment Plans

  • View a list of recommended treatments assigned to the patient.  
  • View the treatment plan status, including proposed, accepted, and scheduled.
  • View the communication status, including out of range, no follow up, campaign off, and follow up. Additionally, adjust and customize communications for the treatment plan if treatment plan campaigns are enabled. 
  • Click into an active or inactive treatment plan to view more details including, tooth number, procedure code and description, actual and estimated cost of the treatment, cost to the patient, and more.  

Feedback

  • Access your completed patient reviews and surveys. Get all details including the patient’s feedback, the date the feedback was given, the type of feedback, and star rating.
  • Send review requests and feedback surveys to the patient.
  • Respond to reviews directly from the review itself.
